Over £145,000 raised

Catherine Tate helped Sotherby's auctioneer
Actress and comedienne, Catherine Tate joined forces with Sotheby’s auctioneer and Ovarian Cancer Action supporter, Oliver Barker. Together, they were a sparkling double act, encouraging guests to bid for the remaining lots.
In total, 30 highly desirable contemporary works of art by well known artists, including Fernand Léger, Picasso, Paula Rego and Tracey Emin were auctioned for Ovarian Cancer Action.

Twiggy lauches the auction
Twiggy launched the art auction with her own portrait, taken by Lord Snowdon in 1967.
Both Twiggy and Lord Snowdon agreed to sign the photograph and the successful bidder bought a unique piece of British pop history for an incredible £10,000.
Bids for the photographer, Gered Mankowitz
Photography remained a highlight of the evening, particularly as guests had the chance to bid on a sitting with the legendary Gered Mankowitz, one of the greatest rock photographers of the past 40 years. Mankowitz is renowned for photographing rock legends including Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Marianne Faithful, Elton John, Kate Bush, Eurythmics and Duran Duran.
