Helene Harris Memorial Trust
International Forum on Ovarian Cancer
The sharing of knowledge and ideas is critical to progress in ovarian cancer and was the founding ethos of the charity.
For more than 20 years Ovarian Cancer Action, and its predecessor the Helene Harris Memorial Trust (HHMT), has organised international meetings that bring together the world’s leading researchers and clinicians to present recent advances and discuss future directions in ovarian cancer research.
These meetings are now established as a key forum for discussion of both clinical and basic research aspects of ovarian cancer.
The HHMT 12th International Forum on Ovarian Cancer
The next HHMT International Forum on Ovarian Cancer will take place in Miami, Florida in January 2011 and will be attended by 50 of the world’s leading ovarian cancer scientists and clinicians.
The Forum will focus on selected areas of research that the Programme Committee believes are most likely to make a difference to the early detection, treatment and prevention of ovarian cancer.
Ovarian Cancer Action will publish a high-impact ‘position paper’ reflecting the presentations and discussions at the meeting.
Applications are invited for six Travelling Fellowships
Travelling fellowships are offered to junior scientists and clinicians to present their latest work on any aspect of basic science or clinical research related to ovarian cancer.
Candidates should submit a 500 word abstract describing the background, methodology and results of the original research and a brief two-page CV.
Fellows will be selected by peer review and must present their own data at the Forum. A prize will be awarded for the best contribution.
Travel and accommodation will be funded by Ovarian Cancer Action. The successful applicants must be able to participate in the entire meeting.
Applications must be received by 30th August 2010. Results will be notified in October 2010.
Applications should be submitted to hhmt@ovarian.org.uk (preferably by email) or by post to:
