GRANT APPLICATION CHECKLIST


Ensure that you have read the following before making an application:


Submit the project grant application form with a detailed research proposal and any other relevant information attached. Incorrectly completed or presented applications will be returned to the applicant without review.

Detailed Checklist

All applications should include the following in the order listed:

  • Completed application form (including original with signatures)

  • Detailed research proposal including:

  • Research equipment essential for the project

What to submit

  • Completed application form

  • Consumables directly attributable to the project

  • Research equipment essential for the project

  • a. Abstract of the proposed investigation in less than 150 words

  • b. Background to the project and pilot data

  • c. Original hypothesis

  • d. Research design

  • e. Annual milestones

  • f. Expected value of results

  • g. List of references relevant to the proposed project

  • h. Brief CV of applicant(s)

  • i. List of collaborators and their locations

  • j. Supporting letters from co-applicants

  • k. List of current grants and fellowships from all sources along with statement explaining how the proposed work does not overlap with existing work

  • l. Breakdown of all costs with written justification for support requested

  • Completed Use of Animals Form [Word doc, 161KB, new window will open] , if applicable.

10 collated copies of the application form and supporting information to be sent to Ovarian cancer action, Bush House, The Waterfront, Elstree Road, Elstree, Herts WD6 3BS plus one electronic copy to info@ovarian.org.uk with Research Grants in the subject heading.

Submission deadline: December 31st. Allow up to 6 months from application submission to funding decision. All approved projects must start within six months of the date of the Award Letter.
